BTC price volatility is the name of the game this week as macro pressures combine with the incoming Bitcoin halving.

Bitcoin's once-every-four-years "halving" this week may be very different from those of earlier epochs, typically ho-hum affairs. Now, an intense competition is underway to mine the first block after the halving, which could contain a rare and collectible fragment of a bitcoin known as an "epic sat."

FTX customers are demanding substantial payouts from the bankrupt crypto firm. These customers claim three digital tokens, known as “Sam Coins,” deserve a higher value despite their association with convicted co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried.

The Securities and Futures Commission, Hong Kong's markets regulator, has not made an official announcement.

In the court filing, lawyers for Bankman-Fried formally filed to appeal his 25-year prison sentence following the FTX fraudster’s grueling landmark fraud trial last fall.
